PURPOSE: An apparatus for protecting a coaxial cable from lightning is provided to prevent the inflow of the lightning into an electronic equipment by mounting an over-current isolating device on a signal line and a shield line. CONSTITUTION: A connecting member connects a terminal of a coaxial cable to a terminal of an electronic equipment. The connecting member has first and second lightning protection units therein. The first lightning protection unit is connected in series between signal lines(15) in order to prevent the inflow of lightning through the signal lines(15). The second lightning protection unit is connected in series between shield lines(16) in order to prevent the inflow of the lighting from a ground through the shield lines(16). The first and second lightning protection units are connected in parallel to an over-current isolating device and a lightning protection device(17) for blocking high voltage of the lightning.
