PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera with a camera shake detecting function which can be accomplished with more accurate and simple constitution than in the conventional manner, and also, at a low cost, by which a user can take a fine picture with less influence of a camera shake, holding the camera while viewing a checking display for detecting and displaying the camera shake, even in the case the camera is used by such the user who does not give consideration to the camera shake. SOLUTION: The camera with a camera shake detecting function 10 is provided with an LCD 6 arranged in a finder and including an in-finder LCD6a for displaying photographing information, a range finder sensor (AF part 5a) as a vibration deciding means, besides, a vibration detecting means (a light receiving lens 5d and a sensor array 5c, etc.), for suggesting the occurrence of the camera shake of the camera main body 10A together with a monolithic acceleration meter (acceleration IC) 3, and in the case of detecting the camera shake by a CPU 1 for controlling the whole camera based on the image deviation of the object image data obtained by comparing the object image data outputted from the AF part 5a at prescribed time intervals, the object image data is converted to difference data obtained by taking the difference of the data of the sensor separated with leaving a prescribed sensor distance, thereafter, the image deviation is obtained.
