PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose a novel polyester composition useful especially for shaping or molding into a container and a similar shaped article by thermoforming. SOLUTION: The polyester composition comprises a thermoplastic polyester, an impact modifier, and a polyester crystallization accelerating component selected from among poly(tetramethylene terephthalate) homopolymers and copolymers. The polyester composition has a higher crystallization rate than a similar composition free from the impact modifier or a composition using another type of crystallization accelerating component such as a polyolefin-based polymer.
