<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind sock device for a traffic sign improving visibility in the dark and at night by installing a decorative illumination to a wind sock. <P>SOLUTION: An output circuit for an electric controller 30 is changed over to the lighting side by the off operation of a photosensor 35 mounted on a lighting-light-out switching device 34 at night and at dark, and an illuminant 17 for the wind sock 10 hoisted on a pole 1 is supplied with power. Accordingly, since the illuminant 17 for the wind sock is light-emitted continuously or light- emitted by a flash, the posture state of the wind sock 10 is easy to conduct a visual recognition.
