<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston for a compressor and its manufacturing method capable of reducing an input quantity of material in forming a semifinished product of the piston, and reducing the produced quantity of defective products by restraining distortion due to a heat treatment. <P>SOLUTION: This piston for a compressor is formed into a hollow shape by jointing a bottomed cylindrical first member slidably inserted into a cylinder bore to a second member engaged with a driving device for sliding the first member back and forth and used for closing the opening end side of the first member. The manufacturing method of the first member comprises: a process for manufacturing, by machining a metal material, the semifinished product 40 having a bottomed cylindrical part 40a with one end opened, and a collar part 40b integrally extended radially outward at the opening end of the cylindrical part 40a; a process for heat-treating the semifinished product 40 manufactured in the preceding process; and a process for removing the opening end including the collar part 40b from the semifinished product 40 obtained by the heat treatment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
