摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a UV polarization light source device having excellent polarization characteristics and stability, easily handled in a slim form and using a polarization film containing a substance having a dichroic property in a UV region, wherein polarization UV in a large surface area can be easily formed, light having wide wavelength region can be utilized and a wide range of substances for forming an alignment layer can be selected. SOLUTION: The UV polarization light source device is formed by combining the polarization film containing the substance having a dichroic property in a UV region, an optical filter for cutting UV having short wavelength (preferably≤290 nm wavelength) and a UV irradiation device.
