PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize miniaturization and the cost reduction from the arrangement structure of a finder device for a camera. SOLUTION: The finder device for the camera is constituted of an objective optical system unit having an objective optical axis and an eyepiece optical system unit having an eyepiece optical axis, a connection optical axis crossing with the objective optical axis and the eyepiece optical axis and guiding a light beam going along the objective optical axis to the eyepiece optical axis, a pair of prisms provided in the objective optical system unit, polarizing the light beam going along the objective optical axis to the light beam going along the connection optical axis and arranged so that they are positioned at intervals, a half mirror polarizing the light beam going along the connection optical axis to the light beam along the eyepiece optical axis and a display means provided on the objective side of the eyepiece optical axis and performing display on the half mirror on the image surface side of the eyepiece optical axis.
