PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact push-type faucet enabling a user to switch the water spout and water stop by one action every time the user pushes a handle and capable of preventing water-hammering when water is stopped. SOLUTION: The push-type faucet A comprises a body 1 in which a primary chamber 6 and a secondary chamber 7 are divided by a partition wall 2 with a communication hole 3 bored for making the primary chamber 6 and the secondary chamber 7 communicate with each other, and a water spouting unit B mounted on the body 1. The water spouting unit B comprises a main valve 10 for opening/closing the communication hole 3, a sub valve 20 for opening/closing a channel from the primary chamber 6 to the secondary chamber 7 every time as a handle 56 is pushed, a pressure chamber 19 formed between the sub valve 20 and the main valve 10 for acting in the direction for the main valve 10 to close the communication hole 3 as the internal pressure increases, and a first spring 17 mounted inside the pressure chamber 19 for energizing the main valve 10 toward the communication hole 3. An aperture 16 is bored in the main valve 10 for normally making the primary chamber 6 and the pressure chamber 19 communicate with each other, and by interlocking with the opening/closing of the channel by the sub valve 20, the communication hole 3 is opened/closed by the main valve 10.
