PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass molding apparatus wherein the molding cycle is shortened to realize high productivity. SOLUTION: A press 1, a preheating stocker 2, a cooling stocker 3, and a conveying robot 4 are set in a molding chamber 5. A molding material 9 placed on a lower mold 31 is conveyed from a preliminary chamber 6 to the chamber 5 and is placed on the stocker 2. The material 9 is preheated to a predetermined temperature and is carried together with the mold 31 into the press 1. When the temperature of the material 9 is stabilized at a predetermined temperature in the press 1, it is press-molded. Thereafter, when the molding 10 is cooled to a specified temperature, the mold is opened, and the molding 10 together with the mold 31 is carried to the stocker 3. After the molding 10 is cooled to a specified temperature on the stocker 3, the molding 10 and the mold 31 are carried to the chamber 6. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
