<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus where the back surface of a recording sheet fed to a transfer part or a transfer roller is hardly soiled. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is constituted of an image forming means for forming an image on the recording sheet including a special sheet such as a tab sheet, pre-punched sheet and non-rectangular sheet, and a control means for allowing the image forming means to perform an image forming sequence for forming an image on the recording sheet. The image forming means is cleaned according as the image is formed on the special sheet on the basis of control from the control means. The control means does not allow the image forming means to perform cleaning control in the case of forming the image on the recording sheet other than the special sheet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
