PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spring contact probe capable of preventing invasion of dust or the like through transparent holes 16, 18 into a conductive tube 10 having transparent holes 16, 18 bored on the blocked end side and having the inner peripheral wall plated with a conductive thin film. SOLUTION: The transparent holes 16, 18 are provided on the blocked end side of the conductive tube 10, and the plating of the conductive thin film is properly applied to the inner peripheral wall. A cup-shaped blocking member 20 is inserted and disposed into the inner peripheral wall on the blocked end side in the conductive tube 10 in the interfitted and abutting state. The transparent holes 16, 18 are blocked by the blocking member 20. The blocking member 20 is energized elastically onto the blocked end side by a spring 12 to prevent a positioning error. Consequently, communication between the transparent hole 16, 18 side and a part on the furthermore plunger 14 side than the blocking member 20 in the conductive tuber 10 is blocked, to thereby prevent invasion of dust or the like through the transparent holes 16, 18 into the plunger 14 side.
