PURPOSE: A method and a composition for protecting contents between portable terminals and a method for operating the portable terminal are provided to form a protection channel and protect communication contents between the portable terminals. CONSTITUTION: A request terminal requests contents protection to an object terminal(300). The object terminal generates a channel key, encodes the channel key by a public key, and transmits the encoded result to the request terminal(310). The request terminal decodes the encoded channel key by a certain private key of the request terminal(320). The object terminal encodes contents by the channel key, and transmits the encoded contents to the request terminal(330). The request terminal decodes the encoded contents by the channel key(340).
