POLYESTER SOFT FILM FOR DICING TAPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester soft film for a dicing tape composed of a polyester film exhibiting the strength and elongation on a par with the conventional vinyl chloride resin film which has been thought difficult to possess. SOLUTION: The polyester film for a dicing tape is a monolayer film composed of a polyester resin which is formed of (A) a dicarboxylic acid component having≥50 mol% terephthalic acid or naphthalenedicarboxylic acid and (B) a diol component having≥50 mol% ethylene glycol, and further contains (C) a polyalkylene ether glycol component at a ratio of component (C) to the total amount of components (A) to (C) of 10 wt.% to 50 wt.% as the copolymerization component or the blending component or is a multilayer film containing at least one layer of the monolayer and, in addition, has a Young's modulus (E) of 0.1-2.0 (GPa) and an elongation (S) of 150 to 400(%) in at least one direction of the above film.
