PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amplifier separation-type photoelectric sensor capable of judging whether an attachment mounted on a base is misreplaced or not. SOLUTION: A mold 3 is set on the base 1 so as to be replaceable. An amplifier 5 constituting the amplifier separation-type photoelectric sensor 4 is fixed to the base 1. A head 8 is internally installed at the mold 3, and a component 11 to be set at the mold 3 is detected. A light receiving level for a case where the component 11 is present at the base 1 and a light receiving level for a case where the component 11 is not present at the base 1 are stored in the amplifier 5 so as to correspond to the mold 3. When the base 1 is replaced, a mold number is input by an operating switch installed at the amplifier 5. The respective light receiving levels stored in a memory and a present light receiving level are displayed on the amplifier 5, and the mold 3 can be judged to be correct when the present light receiving level agrees nearly with any of the stored light receiving levels.
