PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared sensor apparatus capable of indicating which location of a floor surface a sensitive zone at the center of a detecting area of the infrared sensor apparatus is approximately detecting in an approximately vertical plane of a module for a ceiling. SOLUTION: The infrared sensor apparatus is mounted to the module for a ceiling and provided with an infrared sensor, and the infrared sensor is radially provided with two types of the sensitive zones or more for detecting the presence or absence of an object to be detected within a predetermined detection area. The infrared sensor apparatus is also provided with a detection area moving means capable of moving the detection area of the infrared sensor. In the infrared sensor apparatus, the detection area moving means is capable of moving the detection area in such a way that the sensitive zone at the center of the detection area is housed within the approximately vertical plane of the module for a ceiling, when the infrared sensor is directed in at least one direction.
