PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably ignite fuel injected from a nozzle of a burner by generating a spark generated by a spark plug in a wide range. SOLUTION: The spark plug 1 comprises a cylindrical plug holder 2 with an axial bore 2a, a cylindrical extension pipe 3 with an axial bore 3b connected to a tip end of the plug holder 2, a cylindrical stabilizer 4 with an axial bore 4a connected by threading to a tip end to the extension pipe 3, and a spark rod 6 supported on a plug body 5 attached to a base end of the plug holder 2. When a spark is generated between the spark rod 3 and the stabilizer 4, while gas fed in from a gas inlet 2c in the plug holder 2 is sprayed from a tip end of the stabilizer 4 via an annular space 8, the spark is spread to a tip end of the spark rod 3 by the spray gas to reliably ignite fuel injected from the nozzle of the burner.
