The invention provides novel azole compounds useful as pest controllers and novel pest controllers containing the compounds as the active ingredient. The invention discloses azole compounds represented by the following general formula, a production process for preparation of the compounds, and use thereof as insecticides or acaricides: wherein X<1> to X<5> and Z<1> to Z<4> are each N, C-H, C-halogen, C-alkyl, or the like; Y<1> and Y<2> are each N or CH, with the proviso that both Y<1> and Y<2> must not be CH; A is a single bond, O, or the like; Ar is an optionally substituted aromatic residue; B is halogeno, alkyl, or the like; R<1> is H, halogeno, alkyl, or the like; R<2> and R<3> are each H, alkyl, or the like; m is 0 to 2; and n is 0 or 1.
