<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distribution service of lectures to each house via a CATV network enabling a learner to take lessons without attending a cram school. <P>SOLUTION: Text is first distributed to each house that has contracted with the distribution service (including CATV connection), then a video of a lecture in line with the text is distributed to the contracted house via the CATV network. Questions, answers, etc., are exchanged via the Internet or the like. As for an examination, the learner prints out the test paper via the Internet or by a facsimile, takes the test, and then sends the test paper via the Internet or by the facsimile. Marking, evaluation, grade analysis, etc., are exchanged in the similar manner. Thus, even in a remote place, the learner can take lessons almost the same as the lessons in a cram school. Also, cost reduction by dispensing with the place to take lessons, and reduction of burden on the learner resulting from the reduced cost of a lecture program utilizing the video generating technology of a CATV station may be possible.
