METHOD FOR DRIVING PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the driving method of a PDP (plasma display panel) capable of preventing degradation of picture quality due to flicker of a large region when the PDP is driven with a 50 Hz video standard driving method.

SOLUTION: This driving method of the PDP comprises a first step for driving a first sub-field group for carrying out a selective writing and a selective erasing at the same time for a part of one frame time period and a second step for driving a second sub-field group for carrying out a selective writing and a selective erasing at the same time for the rest of the one frame time period at the time of displaying a particular gradation in a frame unit. That is, the PDP is driven by dividing one frame into the first sub-field group and the second sub-field group.
