<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber module that is good in space efficiency and superior in a decrease in transmission loss. <P>SOLUTION: The optical fiber module 1 has a first optical fiber 2 in which an increment in transmission loss at a wavelength of 1.65μm when winding ten times at a diameter of 60 mm is less than 5 dB/km, and a second optical fiber 3 in which the increment in transmission loss at the wavelength of 1.65μm when winding ten times at the diameter of 60 mm is not less than 5 dB/km. The first optical fiber 2 and the second optical fiber 3 are connected and retained in coil-like. The first optical fiber 2 is wound by a bobbin 5, and the circumference of the second optical fiber 3 is filled with resin 7 in a storing case 4 in a bobbin-less state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
