PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the problem that, in a plasma display device, a great deal of current is made to flow through switching means of a driving circuit and the circuit is broken down. SOLUTION: The driving circuit is constituted of MOS-FETs (metal oxide semiconductor-field effect transistors) 25, 26 which are connected each other so that an output voltage can be taken out from a connection point, a driver 37 which controls ON/OFF operation of these MOS-FETs 25, 26 and turns them ON/OFF in timing of a positive phase and a negative phase, and a MOS- FET 27 which is connected in parallel with the FET 26 and a driver 38 for controlling ON/OFF operation of the FET 27 and moreover the circuit is provided with a protective circuit for controlling the drivers 37, 38 so that the FET 25 and the FET 27 are not made to be simultaneously turned ON.
