PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten the efficiency of mutual reaction by controlling the formation of an electric field in a reaction domain wherein the mutual reactions between substances such as hybridization are performed. SOLUTION: A method of bioassay is that a detection part 1 (10) provided with: at least a detecting surface S (S') finished so as to fix a detection substance D thereon; a reaction domain R (R') which provides a mutual reaction field between the substance D for detection in a state fixed to the detection surface S (S') and a target substance T added thereto; an electric field forming means E forming the electric field in the reaction domain R (R'), by generating an electric potential difference therein; and at least a process turning on/off the electric field with a prescribed timing by the electric field impressing means E is included.
