摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a good quality image without flicker by driving a field sequential liquid crystal display device using both reset/writing and line inversion. SOLUTION: All rows of liquid crystal display elements are divided into an odd numbered row group and an even numbered row group. Each row of the odd numbered row group is reset to a plus polarity and each row of the even numbered row group is reset to a minus polarity. Having completed the above resets, writing of plus polarity image data signals is conducted to each row of the odd numbered row group and reset/writing is conducted to write minus polarity image data signals to each row of the even numbered row group. Then, each of the rows of the odd numbered row group is reset to a minus polarity and each of the rows of the even numbered row group is reset to a plus polarity. Having completed the above resets, writing of minus polarity image data signals is conducted to each row of the odd numbered row group and reset/writing is conducted to write plus polarity image data signals to each row of the even numbered row group.
