PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of constitutive equipments and materials to provide an inexpensive detector, to reduce a cost for detection of gas leakage, and to make the gas leakage detected and determined easily. SOLUTION: In a gas supply pipe line 12 branched from a main pipe 11 for supplying gas, a shut-off valve 18 is provided in a section up to a service pipe 16 to the first customer 13 in the pipe line 12, a by-path pipe line 19 is provided from an upstream to a downstream while sandwiching the shut-off valve 18 therebetween, a solenoid valve 19c controlled by a control part 19g, and a pressure recorder 19e are installed in order in the by-path pipe line 19, the solenoid valve 19c is repeatedly opened and closed intermittently by a program written in the control part 19g and further controlled to conduct 'fractional forcible opening and closing' in a time slot of the 'opening', and the pressure recorder is operated synchronized with the time slot when a command is issued from the control part to open the solenoid valve.
