PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll holder for stably drawing a belt-like material from a roll and running the same. SOLUTION: This roll holder includes a holding shaft inserted in the central part of a roll, one end of which is fitted to a fixing means and a holding member fitted to the other end of the holding shaft. The holding member includes a core removably fitted to the other end of the holding shaft, a guide having a fit-in part fitted to the core to rotate round the core between the standby holding position and the running keeping position for drawing the belt-like material from the roll and a guide part extended from the fit-in part in the radial direction of the roll to abut on the side of the roll and press the roll, and a guide bar fitted to the tip of the guide along the axial direction of the roll and moved in a body with the guide to press the belt-like material drawn from the outer periphery of the roll from the outside.
