PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the weldability of a bracket in a sliding unit of a seat for a vehicle in which a flat plate-like bracket is clamped on a floorboard, and a lower rail for slidably engaging an upper rail is welded to the bracket and to eliminate the release of the lower rail from the floorboard side by a separation load inputted from a seat belt. SOLUTION: The sliding unit of the seat for the vehicle comprises the flat plate-like bracket 2 and beads 21, 21 provided along the sidewalls 11, 11 of the lower rail 1 at the bracket 2 so that the beads 21, 21 are welded to lower ends of the sidewalls 11, 11.
