PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the use of map data for verifying the location at which data is created by an external device. SOLUTION: A display 14 and a GPS antenna 11 are connected to a main device 13 provided with a connection port 16a to constitute this data display system 10. The main device 13 detects a location by the GPS antenna 11 and displays map data related to the detected location on the display 14. In the case that moving image data photographed by a digital video 15 connected to the connection port 16a is received by the main device 13, the location detected at the reception of the moving image data is specified as the location at which the moving image data is photographed, and the map data in which a mark is attached to the specified location is displayed.
