PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer capable of supplying a high-viscosity ink from a sub-tank to a recording head in a condition that the viscosity of the ink is stabilized. SOLUTION: This inkjet printer 1 is equipped with a sub-tank 3 for temporarily reserving a high-viscosity ink to be supplied to the recording head from an ink tank. The inkjet printer 1 comprises a heater wire 34 for heating the high-viscosity ink reserved in the sub-tank 3, a temperature sensor 36 for detecting the temperature of the ink, and a control means for controlling the heater wire 34 so as to set the temperature of the ink reserved in the sub-tank 3 to be in a preset temperature based on the detected result of the temperature sensor 36. The high-viscosity ink flowing in the sub-tank 3 from the ink tank is allowed to flow into the recording head by sequentially passing through each of liquid chambers 3a, 3b, 3c in the sub-tank 3.
