PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the manufacturing cost and to prevent erroneous loading of an ink cartridge. SOLUTION: This ink cartridge containing ink therein has an engagement projection section 21 having projections 23 in an arrangement pattern specified for a color of the ink at an engagement region 22 to be engaged with a loading section 32. The engagement projection section 21 is made to be engaged with only an engagement recess section 23 provided to the loading section 32 in the corresponding shape so that it is possible to prevent the erroneous loading, when the ink cartridge 11 is loaded to the loading section 32.
