PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To roughly uniform level shifts to be generated on pixel potentials due to parasitic capacitance existing parasitically at scanning lines within a display surface. SOLUTION: An output signal VD1a of a waveform having an inclination period Tslope when a voltage level is lowered from a high level by being inclined is inputted to a scanning signal line driving circuit. The output signal VD1a is a signal in which the sum of a high-level period and the inclination period Tslope is made to be the cycle of an Stc signal which is equal to one scanning period. The scanning line driving circuit generates the waveform of a VG(j) in which inclination amount Vslope is made to be a falling inclination by using the inclination period Tslope to output it.
