PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a hot offsetting when regular sized recording material is printed after printing of a small sized recording material. SOLUTION: In the constitution in which a heater of a heat fixing device is provided with a plurality of heating resistive layers and the heating resistive layer with the great heat generation value on an end part is positioned on the downstream side, when the regular sized recording material is printed within a specified time after printing the small sized recording material, the energizing to the heating resistive layer with the great heat generation value at the end part is reduced.
