PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moisture sensor suitable for sensing water drops in a flowing gas, especially excellent in a recovery characteristic and having a sensing characteristic and the recovery characteristic easily and timely designed. SOLUTION: The moisture sensor has a nonhygroscopic insulation sheet 2, a plurality of stripe electrodes 8 formed on the insulation sheet, a durable hydrophilic nonwoven fabric 5 provided above the stripe electrodes, and ventilation spacer lines 4 intermittently provided at the hydrophilic nonwoven fabric 5, the insulation sheet 2 and the stripe electrodes 8. The hydrophilic nonwoven fabric 5 intermittently bridges between a plurality of the stripe electrodes. An electrical insulation characteristic between the stripe electrodes is reduced and sensed when the hydrophilic nonwoven fabric absorbs water. Since ventilation is ensured by ventilation paths generated between the ventilation spacer lines 4, the recovery characteristic is improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
