PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defrosting heater capable of preventing breakage of a glass tube, keep pressure inside the glass tube substantially constant, and provide a safe refrigerator friendly to the earth environment. SOLUTION: In this defrosting heater capable of defrosting a cooling device generating cold air for cooling the inside of the refrigerator using flammable refrigerant as refrigerant, the heater is composed of an inner vessel which has a heating part in a space inside it and whose at least one end is opened, an outer vessel which is provided so as to have a clearance part on an outer side of the inner vessel and whose at least one end is opened, and a cap blocking an opening part of the inner vessel and an opening part of the outer vessel. A first communicating hole for communicating between the space inside the inner vessel and external air is provided in the cap. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
