PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent discharge of the combustion gas, while bypassing a layered heat exchanger, by nearly air-tightly sealing groove parts formed in the periphery of the layered heat exchanger. SOLUTION: In order to prevent flow-out of the combustion gas through a combustion gas discharge port 20b, while bypassing the layered heat exchanger 21, seal plates 51 and 52 for sealing a clearance between a case member 20 and the layered heat exchanger 21 are provided. In order to nearly air-tightly seal a plurality of groove parts in the periphery of the layered heat exchanger 21 with the seal plates 51 and 52, a tip part of each seal plate 51 and 52 on a layered heat exchanger 21 side thereof is provided with a comb teeth shape part by forming a plurality of projecting pieces projecting into a plurality of grooves 40. The seal plates 51 and 52 are arranged so that the comb teeth shape parts are displaced in the layer direction of a flow passage forming plate 30 to prevent bypass of the combustion gas from the groove parts to the gas discharge port 20b.
