PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door apparatus which facilitates installation of a door storage case panel thereof. SOLUTION: According to the sliding door apparatus, an upward facing claw 27 is formed at a lower portion of a jamb 4, and the door storage case panel 2 is folded to form a folding portion 28 having an engaging hole 29 which is to be fitted onto the claw 27. Then, a retaining fixture 20 is inserted into an upper portion of the folding portion 28 of the door storage case panel 2, which is then clamped to the jamb 4 by means of a screw 31. To position the door storage case panel 2 to the sliding door apparatus, both side edges of the panel 2 is gripped and lifted by the hands of the operator, and the engaging hole 29 is fitted onto the claw 27, followed by vertically erecting the panel. In this manner, mounting of the door storage panel to the sliding door apparatus is facilitated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
