PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method which permits to remove a residual metal salt in a coagulated particle obtained by coagulating a polymer latex using an electrolyte or the like thereby to obtain a powder of the polymer or the like exhibiting excellent transparency when molded into an article. SOLUTION: In separating and recovering a polymer from a polymer latex manufactured by emulsion polymerization by coagulating using an acid and/or an electrolyte, dehydrating and drying, coagulated slurry is diluted with pure water in an amount of at least 4 times by mass the polymer solid content (a first step), the coagulated slurry is dehydrated in a vacuum dehydrator while further adding pure water in an amount of at least 4 times by mass the polymer solid content and a coagulated polymer is recovered (a second step), the recovered coagulated polymer is re-dispersed in pure water in an amount of at least 4 times by mass the polymer solid content in a slurry redispersing tank (a third step), and the re-dispersed slurry is dehydrated by a centrifugal dehydrator (a fourth step).
