METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR VERIFYING LIVING FACE

PURPOSE: A method and a system for verifying a living face are provided to enhance security and reliability of an entrance control system by offering the system recognizing whether an inputted face image is an actual face image or a face image of a photo, a resident registration card, and other printings. CONSTITUTION: An image detector(100) detects a visitor at a constant position. A face image input part(120) inputs the face image information for the visitor if an image detection signal is transmitted from the image detector. A face characteristic information extracting part(130) extracts the face characteristic information from each face image information. An actual face image decision part(140) extracts a differential image by matching each face characteristic part, and decides that the input face image of the visitor is the actual face image if all pixel values of the differential image are over a preset standard value. A signal output part(150) outputs an entry control result according to an entry control signal from the actual face image decision part.
