PURPOSE: A bidirectional display device for a mobile communication terminal and a method therefor are provided to selectively display data on internal and external portions of a folder according to the opening and closing of the folder. CONSTITUTION: A folder opening and closing sensing unit(200) senses whether a folder is opened and closed. A bidirectional display unit(400) displays characters and images in internal and external directions of the folder. A display unit driving device(300) drives the bidirectional display unit(400). A CPU(100) outputs a driving control signal to the display unit driving device(300) according to the result sensed in the folder opening and closing sensing unit(200).
