<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new and excellent photo curable resin composition having good image reproducibility even with small light exposure, particularly suitable for component parts for a liquid crystal display device, and also to provide component parts for a liquid crystal display device or a solid-state image pickup device such as a color filter, a black matrix or the like using thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The photo curable resin composition contains an alkali-soluble resin, a photopolymerizable compound, a photopolymerization initiator and a solvent. The alkali-soluble resin is a polyester resin comprising (a) a monohydric alcohol having a (meth)acryloyl group, (b) a bifunctional epoxy acrylate and (c) a polybasic acid anhydride.
