<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transflective liquid crystal device in which no fluctuation of a distance between substrates is generated even when a balance of liquid crystal layer thickness is optimized between a transmissive display region and a reflective display region with a layer thickness adjusting layer and electronic equipment using the same. <P>SOLUTION: In a counter substrate 10 of the transflective liquid crystal device 100, the color filter 241 for transmissive display, which is thin and has a wide chromaticity range, is formed on the transmissive display region 100c and the color filter 242 for reflective display, which is thick and has a narrow chromaticity range, is formed on the reflective display region 100b respectively on the lower layer side of a counter electrode 21. Also the distance between a TFT (thin film transistor) array substrate 10 and a counter substrate 20 is controlled with columnar protrusions 40 formed on the TFT array substrate 10. No gap controlling material is sprayed between the TFT array substrate 10 and the counter substrate 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
