PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a confocal microscope with which stereoscopic images of a moving sample can be observed.
SOLUTION: A Nipkow disk 1 spirally lined up and formed with a plurality of pinholes 2, etc., has a flat top surface 1a and a base surface 1b forming a spiral slope for one rotating-component around the axis of rotation. While the Nipkow disk 1 is kept rotated, the Nipkow disk is irradiated with a laser beam 10 from the top surface 1a side to create spot light source groups 14 meeting the pinholes 2 on the base surface 1b and the inside of the sample 7 is irradiated with the light of these spot light source groups 14 by an objective lens 6, by which condensing light spot groups 11 are stereoscopically formed. The fluorescence 12 from the fluorescent material excited by the respective condensing light spots is passed through the original pinholes 2 of the Nipkow disk 1 by the objective lens 6 and the plane images are formed by an image forming lens 8 and are built to the three-dimensional images.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
|
