<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser microscope which efficiently makes multi-photon excited fluorescence obtainable in spite of attenuation of a laser beam and permits fluorescent observation by lowering laser beam intensity so as not to damage living cells. <P>SOLUTION: The laser beam microscope is provided with shutter means (3) which is disposed in an optical path of irradiation light and performs shutting and permeating operations of the irradiation light at the time period shorter than one pixel scanning time for scanning one pixel of a fluorescent image and control means (9) which performs control so as to shut off the prescribed number of pulses among the pulse trains of the irradiation laser by every one pixel by the operation of the shutter means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
