PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file wherein an index pocket does not separate from a file main body even when the file is taken out from or put in a bookshelf on which a plurality of files are put in order, and which can favorably be used while keeping an excellent appearance. SOLUTION: This file 1 is equipped with the file main body 10 having a front cover part 11 and a rear cover part 12 which form a pair of the front and the rear, or the front cover part 11, the rear cover part 12 and a back cover part 13, and a sheet material 2, one part of the peripheral edge of which is bonded to at least one surface H from among the front cover part 11, the rear cover part 12 or the back cover part 13 of the file main body 10. In the file 1, a separation-preventing means which prevents the sheet material 2 from separating from the surface H of the file main body 10 by more than a specified attached state of the sheet material 2 is provided at least one part of an area on which a non-bonded part 22 being not bonded to the surface H of the file main body 10 is located among the peripheral edges of the sheet material 2.
