PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart antibacterial and antifungal properties to the surface of a ceramic product by fixing onto the ceramic a glaze which does not lose its antibacterial and antifungal properties, even when melted at an elevated temperature within the range of 900-1,300°C.
