PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium take-up apparatus which can easily and surely prevent cloths from transferring to each other or prevent an interposed paper and a cloth from transferring to each other by a simple facility, and to provide its method for drying a recording medium. SOLUTION: The recording medium take-up apparatus 10 for taking up the cloth P printed by an inkjet printer 20 is equipped with a drying means 11 for drying the cloth P by an air blast to a state not lower than the degree where the cloth balances with the atmosphere. The drying part 11 is set at an upper face of the recording medium take-up apparatus 10, and dries the cloth P at a part curled between the inkjet printer 20 and the recording medium take-up apparatus 10 by the air blast to the state not lower than the degree where the cloth balances with the atmosphere in terms of moisture.
