Text data, speech communications and information signals are transmitted through a common user program interface (106) with standardized concept for any of the incoming message types (108a-f). In the service platform (104), communications of given format sent from user programs (101) of the application servers (102a-c), are converted into the data format of other types of communication (108a-f).
