CALL ADMISSION DEVICE FOR SECURING QOS IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREFOR

PURPOSE: A call admission device for securing QoS(Quality of Service) in a mobile communication system and a method therefor are provided to efficiently distribute system transmission power resources by deciding whether a call admission request is admitted in consideration of the minimum transmission power quantity with respect to currently serviced calls. CONSTITUTION: A call state information collecting unit(319) collects call state information about currently serviced calls. If an admission request with respect to a new call is sensed, a call admission control unit(313) detects the minimum transmission power quantity for maintaining QoS with respect to the currently serviced old call by call state information. The sum of the minimum transmission power quantities with respect to the old calls and the minimum transmission power quantity of the new call are added. If the added value is less than an optimum transmission power quantity, the call admission control unit(313) admits and decides the new call.
