PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting machine having cutting performance equivalent to that for five axial machining, even though it is simply constituted, and also to provide a cutting method therefor. SOLUTION: In the cutting machine 10, a working tool 53 mounted on a working head 40 is fed to a workpiece 70 for cutting. There are provided: a working table 20 on which the workpiece 70 rotatable by a driving source 14; a first moving means 12 for relatively moving the working head 40 and the working table 20 in one direction in the rotating plane of the working table 20; a second moving means 31 for relatively moving the working head 40 and the working table 20 in a normal line direction in the rotating plane; and a turning means 45 for relatively changing a cutting angle of the working tool 53 to the workpiece 70 by turning on a turning center shaft which exists in an angular direction different from the moving direction by the first moving means 12 in the rotating plane.
