The tool (10) is for removal of a candle stump (20) from a candle holder (30) and comprises a hand grip (1) to which is attached a rod (2) evolving into a spiral screw part (3) for insertion into the candle stump. The geometry and dimensions of the spiral part are so chosen that by pressure on and rotation of the hand grip it penetrates the candle stump for its subsequent removal.
