An aircraft inflatable escape shoot which may also be used as a life raft comprises, side and end tubes 1, 2, trunnions 3 by means of which the shoot may be connected to the aircraft, a flexible portion 4 attached to the upper parts of the tubes 2 so as to form a slide, a flexible floor portion 5 below the portion 4, and laced up or stud connected tabs 6, 7, or single straps (10), Fig. 6 (not shown), co-operating with tabs 6, which fastenings when they are undone allow the shoot to form a boat shape. When the side tubes 1 are distorted and restrained by the tabs 6, 7 and the press studs 8 the floor 5 is held from sagging by means of a cross tie 9 which may readily rupture when the side tubes are released.
